The youth from Tabor Lutheran Church have been very busy as they identified a strategy, executed their plans and are now giving back to the Pueblo community. Their goal was simply to make a difference to those who are less fortunate. This wonderful effort evolved into a real character building experience as these youth and their church leaders and families visited Pueblo Cooperative Care Center to make a contribution and take a tour. They experienced first-hand some of the problems our communities face. These youth group started collecting resources during football season (through Super Bowl Sunday) to distribute to local Pueblo nonprofits. Donations and contributions were collected and in the end these youth made a financial donation to Pueblo Cooperative Care Center that will provide food for over 700 families! This proved to be a valuable experience for these children as it helped them to understand the need for food, while helping them to develop their moral character, deepen their personal values and prove they are effective youth leaders in our community . Thank you Tabor Lutheran Church for supporting Pueblo Cooperative Care Center and making a real difference in Pueblo County.
